My home & tenancy

What your tenancy means

Your tenancy, whether it’s a starter or a tenancy for life, is the agreement that forms the basis of everything to do with your home. It outlines who’s living there, how much rent you pay and how often, and clearly sets out our responsibilities when it comes to decoration, maintenance, communal areas and so on.

You'll find useful links below that allow you to do things like report anti-social behaviour or to let us know if there are changes to your household.

If you're ever unsure, just get in touch with us and we'll be on hand to help.

Responsibilities

When you move into a Samphire home, there are certain things that we’ll look after for you if they break. Similarly, there are things in your home for which you are responsible. From carpets to curtains, hobs to hedges, and garages to gutters – it’s important to know which things you’re responsible for and which things you can leave to us.

Tenancy Fraud

It’s important that all our homes go to those who really need them, which is why we take tenancy fraud very seriously. If you suspect fraud in your community, you should let us know as soon as possible so that we can put an end to it.

Change in circumstances

When you become a Samphire tenant, you can have a home for as long as you need it. If your family grows, your home can too. And, on the other hand, if your children move out, you can downsize into somewhere that suits you better. Let us know as early as you can about any changes like this, including changes to your relationship status, as we may need to update your tenancy details.

You can read more about changes to your relationship status here, or tell us about changes using the form below.
