Your safety and wellbeing

It's our duty to make sure the people in our homes and communities are safe. That's why we’ve put together a library of useful links that you might find helpful, whether you need help now or simply want to know what’s available to you as a Samphire Homes tenant. Remember, your County Council website will also be able to provide more information on safeguarding concerns.

If we’re unable to directly help you, we can point you in the direction of someone who can. Find information about what we can offer, along with links to other support services, on topics such as mental health and substance abuse on our Safety & Wellbeing page.

Support to help you quit smoking

In line with the Government’s aim to make all homes smoke free by 2030, we’re supporting our tenants to quit smoking and promoting the benefits of quitting to their overall health and wellbeing.

We know how difficult it can be to break a bad habit, especially when that habit is smoking. Whether it’s to improve your own health or to protect those around you, if you’ve decided you want to quit smoking or vaping, then we’re here to support you. We can talk you through the health benefits and let you know where to find helpful information and guidance.

Housing with Care

As you get older you may need a helping hand every now and again, but residential care may not be the best option for you. Housing with Care schemes allow you to live independently, while ensuring you can access support on site when you need it. Homes will be allocated by social services who will carry out an assessment of your needs. To find out how you could make the move get in touch with us or visit the Norse Care website to learn more about our Samphire Homes scheme at Laburnham Grove in Thetford.

Living independently

We want you to love your home as much as we do, and to feel comfortable living in it for as long as you want. Whether you’d like grab rails to help you move safely around your home, or Kitchen alterations to help you cook and prepare food, we can help you adapt your home to suit your needs. For larger aids and adaptations, you may need to speak to Occupational Health or your local authority, but we’ll talk you through the process and help you find out what funding is available.

Money Management

We know life isn’t always straight forward, so if you are experiencing difficulties paying your rent, please let us know as soon as you can. We are here to help.

You might qualify for help towards your rent through housing benefits, and local authority grants may be available if you need additional support.
